ABWAK REGIONAL TRAINING WORKSHOP 2010

ABWAK REGIONAL TRAINING WORKSHOP 2010

Chessington World of Adventures

Sunday 23rd May

Workshop theme

Animal Training / Rope Splicing

Option – A Bird Training & Rope Splicing

Option – B Mammal Training & Rope Splicing

The workshop is divided into two sessions, bird training & rope splicing and mammal training & rope splicing. ABWAK is the Association of British and Irish Wild Animal Keepers and is a membership organisation consisting mainly of zookeepers throughout the UK and Ireland. Our Regional Training Workshops are just one of the ways we fulfil our mission to achieve the highest standards of excellence in animal welfare through communication, cooperation, training and development.

ABWAK Chairman, Ross Snipp said “This is ABWAK’s second training workshop and the feedback from the first was very positive, with many delegates saying they learned valuable practical skills during the event.”

There are still a few places left at the workshop, priority will be given to professional animal keepers and our members do get a discounted rate. However if you are involved in training birds and want to learn how to splice rope why not come and join us.
